CURRENTLY, WE ARE ONLY SUPPLYING THE WEST COAST OF THE UNITED STATES FOR COMPUTER REQUESTS.
CRC Computer Recycling provides refurbished computers to Foster Youth, Home-Bound Elderly, Teachers, Community Nonprofits, and more. Most desktop and tower computers are FREE, however there may be a cost for the equipment you request (such as laptops and higher end desktops) depending on what parts must be purchased to refurbish the equipment. We cover these costs by offering you a "Limited Warranty Service Contract" for a small fee. We provide a refurbished computer with each "Limited Warranty Service Contract". Please request your computer on letterhead, telling us the type of computer you want, the software programs you intend to run on the computer, and how you will use the computer in your program, and who will benefit from this computer.
Some examples of requests include: C.A.S.A. programs in California requesting a computer for a Foster Youth; Human Services Departments requesting a computer for a disabled home-bound elderly client; Public School Teachers requesting a computer for their classroom; small community based nonprofit programs requesting a computer for thier use in administration or program management, etc.
We provide an over-the counter exchange for any system that fails to operate. Physical damage, damage from MALWARE (Virus, Spyware, Trojen, etc.) and failure from user-added hardware and accessories are not covered. Your software and your data are not covered. Used keyboard, mouse, & AC cords are included with the computer, and new ARE available for purchase.
IMPORTANT! The shipping cost(s) for limited warranty repair are NOT covered. We have an excellent service and repair department, BUT, if you typically have issues caused by software or users, then please consider getting a computer from a program LOCAL to you to minimize your overall costs of owning, running, and maintaining a computer. When you request a computer from us you are certifying that you have support to: (1) load and configure your own software programs, (2) install additional hardware as needed, and, (3) maintain the computer, including downloading updates to your O.S., Application programs, and virus/spyware/malware protection programs. Sys # 1101 - Intel P4 / Celeron / or AMD processor tower/desktop, 512 mb memory, 80+ gig HDD, USB, Video, Ethernet. Most come with a 1.44 FDD, and one or more: CD or DVD or CDRW. 360 day limited warranty service contract, over the counter exchange. O.S. install is Windows XP. Microsoft Windows products contain Original Licenses or MAR (Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher) licenses. All computers have passed our quality control final inspection. Original licenses have been restored from OEM restore disks, and MAR licenses from a Microsoft proprietory master copy. MAR licenses do not allow giving disks. You must create your own backup.
We reserve the right to change/discontinue programs/products. ALL Equipment shipped to CRC C&E MUST have a RMA number and shipped prepaid. We will pay for shipping the first replacement computer to you. No other warranties expressed or implied.
